After three great years of holding the convention in Utica, NY (which followed four decades in Albany, NY), Key Lock & Lantern is excited to arrive at our new home of Scranton, PA. Besides being held in a hotel that was once the city's main train station, within walking distance of Steamtown and the Electric City Trolley Museum, Scranton is a central location that a large part of our membership will be able to reach within a day's drive. We hope that many of our friends who live in the region will plan to join us for the day on Saturday, as well.
The Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel is located at 700 Lackawanna Avenue, Scranton, PA, 18503. All convention activities will take place at the hotel. Parking for guests is located on both sides of the building, with covered spaces for unloading vehicles under the former platform at trackside, if needed. For daily visitors, there are several public parking garages located across the street. The easiest way to reach the hotel is to take the Central Scranton Expressway from its connection with Interstate 81 to its end at Route 11. Bear right toward downtown and after passing under the railroad bridge, turn left onto Lackawanna Avenue. The hotel entrance is on the left.
For those taking public transportation, there are currently no passenger trains to Scranton, but both Greyhound and Martz Trailways provide frequent service to the city's new Lackawanna Transit Center, which is located on Lackawanna Avenue near the entrance to Steamtown. Frequent city bus service provided by the County of Lackawanna Transit System (COLTS) operates along Lackawanna Avenue between the bus station, the Marketplace at Steamtown, and the hotel. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport hosts several major carriers, and a hotel shuttle van is available for airport passengers.
